Why donate?

Donations are crucial to alleviating the suffering of stray and abandoned animals, especially cats and dogs. Here are some reasons why donations are so important:

Feeding and care

Many stray animals lack access to adequate food and clean water. Donations make it possible to feed these animals regularly and provide them with basic care.

Veterinary care

Many of the animals are sick or injured. They suffer from parasites, infections, or other health problems. Donations help cover the costs of veterinary treatment, medication, and surgery.

Castration and sterilization

One of the most effective methods for reducing the long-term suffering of stray animals is spaying and neutering. This prevents unwanted offspring and helps control the stray population. However, the costs for these procedures (neutering approximately € 120.- / sterilization approximately € 250.- plus examination fees) are enormous. We rely on donations to carry them out.

Rescue and shelter

Many animals are abandoned or live in dangerous environments. Donations help rescue these animals and place them in safe shelters where they can be cared for until they find a new home.

Create awareness

Alleviate existing animal suffering and prevent future misery: Your donation makes it possible! With a general donation, you support our animal welfare activities in general and give us the freedom to use your contribution for the benefit of animals where it is most needed. With a project-specific donation, you directly support one of our important projects. Please indicate the relevant keyword in your transfer, e.g., "Sterilizations." Your donation will then be used as you wish.

Every donation, no matter how small...

...can make a huge difference in these animals' lives. It helps alleviate their suffering, improve their health, and, in the long run, reduce the number of stray animals. The situation of stray cats and dogs on the streets of Sicily is truly heartbreaking. Many of these animals suffer, especially kittens, who are often simply abandoned and left to fend for themselves. It is important to raise awareness of this problem. Only spaying/neutering can stop this misery.
